Our approach

Advice first, treatment second.

The clinic is designed to feel clear and reassuring. You will have time to talk through your concerns, understand your options and decide what feels right for your skin.

Dr Lorraine can support concerns including acne, rosacea, pigmentation, pores, scarring, fine lines and skin quality using analysis, skincare plans, peels, regenerative treatments and injectables where appropriate.

Clinical experience

Experienced GP. Menopause specialist. Skincare expert.

Dr Lorraine qualified as a doctor in 2008 from Imperial College School of Medicine and worked in London foundation and emergency medicine training schemes before moving to Whitstable and completing GP training.

She continues to work locally as a GP and menopause specialist, and has been running her own skincare clinic since 2018. Her work focuses on skin rejuvenation, facial changes linked with perimenopause, and subtle treatment plans that help clients feel comfortable and confident.

FAQs

Common questions, answered clearly.

Not always. Treatment may not be suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have certain neurological conditions, have an allergy history, have active skin infection or inflammation, take blood thinning medication, are under 25 or over 65, have recently taken Roaccutane, or are unwell on the day. Suitability is checked at consultation.

Complications are uncommon and usually temporary. Possible effects include injection redness, swelling, bruising, asymmetry, a heavy or tight feeling, and rarely drooping of the brow or eyelid. Results usually wear off after 3–6 months.

Dermal fillers are not suitable for everyone. They may not be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with some blood thinning disorders or medications, some autoimmune conditions, active skin infection or inflammation, history of keloid scarring, recent Roaccutane use, allergy history, or uncertainty around previous permanent fillers.

Redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness and itching are expected and can last up to two weeks. Worsening symptoms after three days need review. More serious complications are rare and will be discussed during consent.

Start with a consultation. Your skin, concerns, medical history and goals will be assessed before any treatment recommendation is made.

Coastal GP Skincare runs from Clinic 124, 124 Middle Wall, Whitstable, CT5 2AB.
